The Healthy Communities programs are a pathway for families to learn about avoiding practices that undermine their health and wellness, and options for improving their health status.
EMPOWER YOUTH
AICS provides job readiness and job placement services to East African youth. This includes connecting youth to training and leadership opportunities, as well as providing on-the-jobsupport
HELP REFUGEES/IMMIGRANTS
East African refugees arrive in Minnesota needing emergency housing, assistance in filing for public benefits and finding permanent housing, enrolling their children in school, finding employment, and more.

AICS emerged in 2007 as a non-profit, founded by Mustafa Hassan and other Somali refugees. Their vision was clear—to address the unique needs of East African refugees in the Twin Cities. Today, AICS stands tall, a testament to dedication and community spirit.
